Aparna has been a member of BCA for 3 years and has a daughter in the league that has been cheering since Kindergarten. She has been a coach for three seasons and will be this year’s 3rd Grade Assistant Coach. Her favorite thing about BCA is that it’s like being a part of a community.
“My daughter and I have friends all over town and we recognize BCA members everywhere we go. Anytime anybody has a BCA shirt on, my daughter feels compelled to say hello.”
This will be Aparna’s 4th season as a coach. She still feels like she has a lot to learn. She is very comfortable being on the mat with the girls and getting to know them and their strengths and weaknesses. She works well with the girls that need extra help, and they learn and progress together. Throughout the season, this team has a welcome party, ice cream socials, games during practices, and an end of the year party. While this team works very hard each day, they like to make time for fun activities and team bonding.
“The girls spend so much time together, it’s hard not to build relationships and make great friends!”
Aparna believes she has been a part of many successful seasons; with or without a trophy. Aparna is proud to be a part of this team each season and watch the girls work so hard to achieve their goals. Last season, this team won 3rd place at the state finals. They worked so hard all season, and they deserved to bring that trophy home!
